Review of Day Care Services for Older People
Day care services are being reviewed in the light of low usage of the existing centres including the Arthur Clark Centre in Caversham. You are invited to take part in shaping future plans by:
- Joining a discussion at the Civic Offices, in the Kennet Room, on Friday 31 May 2013 (please call 0118 937 2969 to book your place and confirm any special requirements).
- Completing a questionnaire online at www.reading.gov.uk/letstalkcare or call 0118 937 2969 to request a paper copy.
- Inviting a speaker from the Council to talk to groups by calling 0118 937 2383 or emailing transformation@reading.gov.uk with a suggested date.

Highdown Dash
The Dash is a non-profit making community event incorporating a 2K fun run around the grounds of the school and a 6K run following the local footpaths, bridleways and roads. Mapledurham Playing Fields Summer Fete
The Warren and District Residents Association (WADRA) is delighted to announce they will be holding a second Summer Fete on 22nd June from 12 noon to 5:30pm. The Fete will be followed by a Music Festival at 6:30pm. This year we have added a Children's Marquee with games, stalls, art competition & face painting, in addition to our Arts & Crafts Marquee, Vintage and Classic Car Rally, food vendors, a Real Ale & Pimms tent, coaching and taster sessions in football, rugby, golf, martial arts and tennis, music and much more. Caversham Church Fete
Caversham Church Fete is a major fund-raising event staged in Caversham Court every year on the second Saturday of July. It always attracts a large crowd of people from Caversham and further afield. It supports both St Peter’s and St Margaret’s Churches. The beautiful Caversham Court Gardens provide the backdrop to a traditional church fete with stalls, sideshows, cream teas, a bouncy castle and Morris dancers. It’s a fun afternoon for all ages and entrance is free.
