Reading Golf Club

Reading Golf Club is situated on the fringes of the Chilterns in the Caversham and Emmer Green area of Reading (click for map) in a tranquil, traffic-free setting.  Our beautiful, historic James Braid parkland course is just over 100 years old and is a true test for golfers of all abilities.

We are a members club and offer a comprehensive range of membership benefits. Our traditionally built course has matured into one of the finest parkland type courses around. Although the course is not that long in modern course terms, it has its defences in tree lined fairways, well positioned bunkers and some crafty pin positions that require accuracy and patience. Of course, the best way to see the course is to come and play it and we look forward to welcoming you.

Our Clubhouse is a great place to socialise and offers a complete catering service with an A La Carte menu as well as a selection of Bar Snacks.

Our Pro-Shop is open everyday (except Christmas Day) between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm (April-September) and 8.00am and 4pm (October-March). Our team consists of Head Pro, Joe Templer, PGA Professional, Luke Williams, and Shop Manager, Jamie Sparrow. If you would like to improve your golf please contact Joe Templer and he will be more than happy to assist. We offer great value lessons including group coaching and Joe also runs a programme called "Start Golf Classes" which is aimed at complete novices. If you want a new golf shirt or correctly fitting shoes, pop in and chat to Jamie and his team, they will support you in seeking the best possible products.

Please call us on 0118 947 2909 to enquire about our membership options or about playing as a visitor or a golfing society.
