Hi, my name is Henry Harding. If you’ve visited the Caversham branch of Nationwide Building Society any time in the last 15 years, the chances are you already know me; but you probably don’t know that I am also a fully qualified proofreader. I started proofreading for friends and family (everything from novels to album sleeves) around five years ago, joined the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) in January 2015, and went freelance in February this year.

I offer a wide range of proofreading services at very reasonable prices. No job is too big or small – from 100,000 word novels all the way to bar menus, wedding invitations and shop signs – I'll proofread anything!

For CVs I offer three fixed-price services: £30 to proofread your existing CV; £50 to write your CV from scratch; or £75 to write a tailored CV and cover letter specifically targeting a certain job.
For all other projects I charge £20 per 1000 words (1-1000 words = £20; 1001-2000 words = £40, etc.).

For large projects (30,000 words or more) I will proofread the first 1000 words free of charge.
