Great turnout for the first Choose Caversham Business Networking Evening
It was a very informal event where twenty six local business owners and managers were able to meet and chat whilst enjoying a drink and some appetising nibbles provided by Jackie, landlady at the Prince of Wales.
Bob Young, Editor of the Choose Caversham website commented 'This was our first networking meeting and the response from local companies and orgsanisations was very encouraging. We will certainly be organising similar events on a regular basis in the future'
Chairman of the Caversham Traders Association, Chris Walton of Waltons Jewellers, presented a bottle of bubbly to Nicola Kenworthy from I Am Mine Therapies who won the business card raffle. In fact Nicola had only heard about the website that day and came along to find out what it was all about.
It was agreed by all that this was an great iniative to bring together the local community and further the Association's aim of promoting Caversham as a great place to visit and do business.
Watch this space for information of the next event which will take place towards the end of October, venue to be decided.
