True Food Community Co-Op Scoops Reading Retail Award

Local retailer True Food Co-op won the Sustainability in Retail award at the prestigious Reading Retail Awards that took place at the Hilton Hotel on the 19thSeptember.

The True Food Co-op is a not-for-profit community shop in Grove Road, Emmer Green which sells local, ethical, wholesome and organic food, toiletries and household goods.

True Food is a cooperative, owned and run by its members. Many customers become members and volunteer their time to help run the shop and business.

The Sustainability in Retail award recognises commitment to sustainability above and beyond legislative requirements and expectations. Retailers had to demonstrate a positive impact across a number of areas that could include the environment. marketplace, workplace and or the local community.
